A dream comes true with the opening of Saint Patrick's Peace Park.

For many years, it had been the dream of the Saint Patrick School Community to construct a playground for the younger children. Boston-based investment management firm Loomis Sayles & Company, L.P. made this longtime dream a reality with the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the official opening of the park on September 11, 2006.

As Saint Patrick students pray The Peace Prayer daily, and the school's Mission Statement challenges us to be nurturers of peace, the name Peace Park was chosen for the new playground.

Among those on hand for the ceremony were Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, President of the Inner City Scholarship Fund Peter Lynch, Father Waldron, Principal Mary Lanata, and many others from the school community.
