From Around the Globe: Weaving a Rich Cultural Fabric.

For many years after it's foundation in 1887, the students of Saint Patrick School came from a predominantly Irish Catholic parish community. From about 1960 to the present, an influx of newcomers from Cape Verdi, Haiti, Africa, Puerto Rico, the West Indies, and Central and South America have created a rich and diverse cultural fabric.

Today, our student body is representative of sixteen different countries, nine languages, and eight different religions. Our students come from the areas of Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park and Roslindale.
